Between 1794-1799, various articles on kabbalah and Jewish thought by the ancient rabbis were published by Rabbi Elyakim ben Avraham of London, under the general name “Asarah Ma’amarot”. In practice only 5 were printed.

This volume contains the first two:

Milchamot Hashem, “to fight on behalf of God’s Torah…”, in which he refutes false ideas from philosophers and more;

Binah L’Itim, “to understand the times and ends calculated by the sages commentating on Sefer Daniel to announce the end to come…”.

Separate title page and indices for each maamar, as well as a general title page of the Asarah Ma’amarot.

High-quality printing, first edition. [3], 33, [2], 26, [1] leaves. The detail on the title page of the second article is mistaken, it ought to be 1794 or 1795. Various libraries have a 36-leaf copy containing the 3rd article as well. Located in the National Library’s Rare Book section.

Worn, pretty binding, light stains, overall good condition.
