Sefer Ateret Shlomo—first section on Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De’ah, second section “Yekara d’Chiya” on the chapter Eizehu Neshech, and third section “Az Tismach” with droshim on Aggadah. By Rabbi Yaakov ben Rabbi Shlomo Gleivitz, Av Beit Din of Semlin.
First edition. [5], 2-23; 16; 15 leaves in the original—this copy is missing the first 4 leaves including the title page and approbations. Separate title pages for the 2nd-3rd sections. Approbations originally by rabbis of Nicklasburg: Rabbi Yosef Gershon Chayut and
Rabbi Mordechai Bennett.
Antique binding, leather spine, detached, worming damage to the binding, defects and wear, overall good condition.
The title page of “Yekara d’Chiya” has a stamp: “Ben Zion ben Rav Moharar Yaakov Ettlinger”—probably referring to Rabbi Dr. Ben Zion Ettlinger, son of the gaon Rabbi Yaakov Ettlinger, Av Beit Din of Altona (author of the work Aruch LaNer and more). He was son-in-law of Rabbi Shmaryahu Zuckerman of Mogilev.
The back of the binding has an antique Ashkenazi note of ownership with the name “Alexander Ziskind ben Gershon”—this probably refers to Rabbi Alexander HaRachbi who was rabbi in Novardok between 1838-1850.
