The Admor of Sadigura/Premyslan Rabbi Mordechai Shalom Yosef Friedman, the Knesset Mordechai of Sadigura (1897-1979) was the son of the Admor Rabbi Aharon Friedman, the third Admor of the Kedushat Aharon dynasty. He was the son-in-law of his great uncle, Rabbi Yisrael Shalom Yosef of Mozhibozh, and at his wedding, when he was only 16, he was crowned by the Admor the Pachad Yitzhak of Boyan to serve as Admor of Sadigura. He established the Meishivat Nefesh yshiva in Premyslan Galicia.
In 1939 during a visit to Israel, he visited his cousin the Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Husiatyn: When he got up to leave his cousin asked to see his passport; when he gave it to him, he put it in his pocket and would not return it to him so that he could not return to Europe. In this manner the Admor was saved from the Shoah, and miraculously his family was also brought to Israel before the war broke out. He established his new Beit Midrash in Tel Aviv. He was appointed to the Council of Torah Sages for many years.
