On the Torah, by Rabbi Zvi Hirsch (the Maggid of Nadvorna), a great student of the Maggid of Mastrich and the Maggid of Zlatchov. Among his students were Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Zidichev, Rabbi Avraham David of Botchach, and Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kosov, forefather of the Kosov-Vizhnitz dynasty, and more. This book is considered a foundational work of chassidut. Included are a number of important endorsements, including by Rabbi Levi Yitzhak of Berdichev. Stefanski Chassidut 500.
Partially missing, originally: [3], 28, 138 pages. This copy is missing the cover and two pages after it. Begins on page 1 and then missing 25, 26. The second section is missing pages 3, 4, 13, 14, 55-60 and the last page, 138.
Moth holes, stains and wear. Tears in a number of places with damage to text. The rest of the book is in good condition. Some pages are printed on light-blue paper. One of the missing pages was begun to be filled in by hand, Rashi script, organized nicely.
The back of page 28 has a note handwritten and signed by the Admor of Slonim, Rabbi Shalom Noach Berezovsky, the Netivot Shalom, from 1937.
