Sefer Shir Yedidut, “filled with ancient songs, new and old as well, following the minhag of the cities of the Maghreb…for every Shabbat eve”. By Rabbi Chaim Attar, printed by Ephraim Lexlasi, Marrakesh 1921.

The work, printed in 1921, was the end of a long and tedious process, in which the best poets in Morocco at that time were involved – Rabbi David Yiflach, Rabbi David Elkayam, Rabbi Chaim Afriat and his disciple, Rabbi Chaim Attar from Marrakesh, who collected and arrangeed all the Shabbat piyyutim that Moroccan Jews sang up to that time. They succeeded and the work became the main book from which they sang bakashot, and has since been printed in many editions.
