Two of the first books published by Maran Ovadiya Yosef, when he was only 31 years old, books which for the first time highlighted his unique halachic path.
1. Chazon Ovadiya part 1, “In which are gathered investigations in Halacha and comments and enlightenments in the words of the poskim on the laws of the Passover Seder”. Decorated with approbations from gedolim such as Rabbi Ben Zion Meir Chai Uziel, Rabbi Yitzhak Isaac haLevi Herzog, Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank, Rabbi Selig Reuven Bengis, Rabbi Ezra Atya and more. Jerusalem 1952. 330, [1] pages. A few worming holes, stains, good condition.
2. Chazon Ovadiya, part 2 “likkutim and remarks on the words of the poskim regarding the halachot of the Passover Seder including the Pesach Haggadah, edited with chesed hashem by Ovadiya Yosef, previously Ra’avad of Egypt (Cairo)”. Jerusalem 1952. [4], 112 pages. Lone worming holes, stains, good condition.
These books by Maran are the first in which Rabbeinu first revealed his strong hand in Torah and Halacha aroused astonishment and admiration immediately upon their publication and on the other hand a great controversy following Maran’s rulings which sometimes contradicted those of Maran the Ben Ish Chai.
