Typewritten letter on official letterhead of the Rosh Yeshiva of Mir, Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, sent on the 11th of Adar Alef, 1935, to Dresden (Germany), with well-wishes for the engagement of a student. Rav Finkel’s kind heart is clear from the volume of blessings which follow an apology “if my reply is late because of other concerns but the time for blessings has not passed, I thoroughly enjoy expressing my blessings for a home filled with good mazal…may Hashem raise his light and place this event at the height of happiness.” After his signature he adds “with blessings of mazal tov for the honored parents, may they live and take in from this couple happiness and nachat for their entire lives!”
Filing holes, creases and a few tears and stains. Overall good condition.
