Rabbi Michael Dzhirker (died 1920) was a famous chassid who immigrated to Israel at the end of his life. Regarding his aliyah to Eretz Yisrael, it is said that before he left, he went to Sighet to receive a farewell blessing from the Kedushat Yom Tov, and in his blessing the rabbi requested from him that he would pray for his children to have healthy, strong bodies, since he had already made sure to care for their souls but forgot to care for their bodies. He merited having a shidduch for his daughter to the son of Rabbi Yeshayle of Krestirer. His dynasty has continued today with his grandson, the Admor of Dzhirke of Boro Park.
