Lot 200:
Two books printed and bound together. First editions, Husiatyn 1899.
1. Imrei Tzaddikim on the Admorim Rabbi Chaim of Krosna and Rabbi Levi Yitzhak of Berdichev. By Rabbi Zvi Chassid of Yomplo. [1], 32 leaves. Many approbations from Admorim of the Ruzhin dynasty: Rahak of Chortkov, Husiatyn, Shtefanesht, Kopshnitz, Bohosh, Boyan, and Sadigura. Admorim of Vizhnitz, Antiniya, and the Maharid of Belz.
2. Or HaEmet, “as its name implies…words from tzaddikim, pure words from the honored leader of the generation, Moharar Dov Beer the Maggid of Mastrich, who wrote them for the book of his student the Gaon Or Yisrael Levi Yitzhak ben Kedushat Levi Avdak of Berdichev, and nice likkutim from other tzaddikim…”. Published by Rabbi David Frankel. [5], 108 leaves.
Unique variant: the copy before us has two additional leaves of approbations which do not appear in the known copies and are not in the National Library. These leaves appear to be different attempts by the printer to design the order of approbations. The approbations of a number of Admorim appear twice and are designed differently, as well as the approbation of Rabbi David of Rachmastrivka and Rabbi David of Skvira, which don’t appear in other copies.
The pagination is a little defective in this copy and the leaves before each book are divided differently than in the NL copy. A few worming holes, tears in a few leaves, antique binding, leather spine, overall good condition.
