As written on the title page, the book was printed from a manuscript owned by the Admor Rahak Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager, the Tzemach Tzaddik, founder of the Vizhnitz dynasty. In his approbation on this printed work, he writes that he inherited the manuscript from his father, the Torat Chaim of Kosov, and guarantees that whoever buys this book “at the price set for it” will merit the protection of the author’s merit, “no evil accident will happen to you, chas v’shalom and peace will be upon you and you will be blessed with many blessings and success … Menachem Mendel ben HaRav Tzaddik.”
