Rabbi Issachar Abuazia (died beginning of the 1940s) was a sage and rabbi of Jerusalem, a kabbalist and tzaddik, student of the Shaar Orah yeshiva, founded by Rabbi Chezekaya Shabati. He served as shaliach tzibur of the Mekuvanim synagogue at the Porat Yosef yeshiva in the Old City until its last days. He was a student of Rabbi Salman Eliyahu in kabbalah. See: Arzei HaLevanon p. 1388. Rabbi Ben Zion Mutzpi, shlita, writes about him: “I have known him since I was a five-year-old child as a tzaddik and chassid, a great kabbalist, living in poverty who was nonetheless happy with his lot.”
