Before the tile page is a handwritten dedication from Rabbi Shilo Refael (for whose bar mitzvah the edition was published) to Rabbi Eliezer HaLevi Novik.

Rabbi Shilo Refael (1940-199) was a dayan and posek and Av Beit Din in Jerusalem. He was rabbi of Kiryat Moshe. He was the son of Dr. Yitzhak Refael, a leader of Mafdal, and grandson of Rabbi Y.L. HaKohen Maimon. He initiated the establishment of the “Machon L’Hotza’at Rishonim v’Achronim”, as part of “Yad HaRav Maimon.”
