The book details 39 general rules regarding Shas. In the introduction, the author writes that over the years he noticed these klalim while studying the Shas Bavli, but when he saw the work of the Chavat Yair with klalim of Shas he removed from his work those which appeared in the latter work, and printed only unique klalim not found in prior works.
The title page has a signature acronym of “Yabiya Gamash.”
