Letter from the Vaad of the Moshav Kfar Orya to Maran Rav Kook: “So that families don’t leave…and a Jewish site in Judea is not cancelled.”

Kfar Orya was a yishuv founded in 1912 which suffered many growing pains and acclimation problems. Garins from various countries moved there and left, until in 1920 five families settled there from Bialystock. The letter was sent about a year later, and tells Maran that the place is at risk of abandonment, and they request that the Rav offer chizuk to the residents regarding the importance of Yishuv Haaretz and the geulah of the land.
