Thick volume with issues of Das Yiddische Wort, a monthly magazine published by the Agudas Yisrael in the United States. Edited by Yosef Friedensohn. The volume begins with Issue #61 (Shvat/Adar 1960) and goes to Issue #80 (Sivan/Tammuz 1962). Missing #77, only blank pages instead. A few tears, stains, and various defects. Overall good condition. Binding with inscription on the spine.
Das Yiddische Wort was the voice of Agudas Yisrael in the United States and published noties and articles from Jewish Orthodox life in the US and Israel. It also contained divrei torah and Jewish thought, biographies of gedolim, and worked to commemorate the world of Torah and chassidus in Poland which had been destroyed in the Shoah.
