Sefer Emunat Yisrael, “a wonderful work on the Torah and moadim and likkutim for understanding the words and maamarim of Chazal following the method of the Besht and his students.” By the Admor Rabbi Yisrael Shapira of Grodzisk (son of Rabbi Chaim Meir Yehiel, one of the great Admorim of Poland in the years before the War; great yichus, he was the grandson of the Admorim the Maggid of Kozhnitz and Rabbi Elimelech of Luzhansk, the Yehudi HaKadosh of Peshischa, the Saba of Ruzhin, the Ahavat Shalom of Kosov, and others. He was also the son-in-law of Rabbi Asher of Stolin, son of the Beit Aharon of Karlin.)

First (rare) edition, published during the author’s lifetime. [1], 104 leaves. Brought to the publisher by the author’s son and successor as Admor, Rabbi Avraham Elimelech, who even wrote an introduction on his father’s behalf. Printed by Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak ben Meir Yehiel Alter. The back of the title page has an additional title page in a foreign language.

Stains and signs of use, worming holes, the first pages also have some worming damage. Front binding and indices are detached, otherwise the overall condition of the text is good.

The title page has the stamp of the author’s son, who brought the work to the publisher. Next to the stamp is the inscription: “Any book without my stamp is stolen.”. The stamp is blurred, see pictures.
