Lot 140:
Typewritten letter on official letterhead of the Chief Rabbi’s office. From 25th of Kislev 1973. Addressed to Support for Rabbis, Refugees, Immigrants from Russia.
He writes to them with a request for a monthly stipend to be given to Rabbi Zvi Rosen of Makova, a new immigrant “who just escaped the Iron Curtain”, and he describes emotionally his great work in the rabbinate of Makova after the Shoah. He signs by hand at the end.
16.5x22cm. With a questionnaire from the “Vaad HaEzra Hitachdut Rabbanim Refugees and Immigrants from Russia and the other countries”. Filled out with a signature from the above Rav Rosen. Very light stains.
