An exciting discovery! A bichel with a ma’amar from the Admor Rabbi Shmuel Schneerson, the Maharash, from a drash said on Shabbat of Bamidbar-Shavuot, opening with the words “Vayehiyu Kol HaPekudim.” This ma’amar is among the first written by the Admor in his first year of the Admorut, from Shavuot 1866, only a short while after accepting the leadership in Nissan of that year.
The beginning of the ma’amar appears in the work Torat Shmuel, which the Rebbe published in 1951 from writings of the scribe Rabbi Shmuel Sofer, but this bichel has two sections from the beginning and others later that do not appear and have not been printed. 60 pages (missing the end of the ma’amar). The bichel continues with a ma’amar which appears in Likkutei Torat Shmuel 530 (‘Ve’ahavta es Hashem Elokeicha)—this is missing the beginning. Also this article has sections that have never been printed! 8 pages.
A total of 14 handwritten pages without erasures. 20.5×12.5cm. Folding creases, tears without missing bits of text, good condition.
