Background: The first proposal for the rabbinate of the city of Satmar reached the Rebbe in 1928, but various opponents began a campaign to prevent the appointment of the Rebbe, finally after six years and three rounds of elections, the Rebbe’s supporters succeeded in convincing most of the city’s residents to support the Rebbe’s candidacy.
This work includes a detailed description of the chain of events in the eyes of the writers as well as letters from famous rabbis and rebbes who fully support the Rebbe and call on his opponents to stop the controversy attempts.
