First section of the polemic work “Chemdat Yamim”, a work on minhagim and halachot, with mussar tochechot based on kabbalah. Written in a unique, clear language to excite the heart to Avodat Hashem, first printed in Izmir in 1731 by Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Algazi (who wrote that he copied it from an old anonymous manuscript he acquired near Tzfat. The author is unknown, but the Yaavetz believed that it was Natan of Gaza, who was a follower of Shabtai Zvi, so he opposed the work. First section on Shabbat Kodesh. Venice 1763. 109 leaves.


Antique, worn leather binding. Engraving on the title page and the back of the introduction, title page with red ink, stains, overall good condition.
