Lot 157:
Letter on official letterhead handwritten and signed by “Rabbi Shmuel Rapaport, neighborhood of Zichron Moshe Jerusalem”, from 11th of Nissan 1927, addressed to “the respected rabbis geonim Badatz of Jerusalem”. In it, he requests permission to be mesader kiddushin for a couple, Moshe Lipshitz of Philadelphia and Channah Kaplan, and he certifies their bachelor status. He signs by hand and gives his official stamp, and also writes his title: “Rabbi and Av Beit Din in Springfield, Mass.”
