Siddur Sheerit HaPlita, nusach Sfard, printed through the efforts of Rabbi Avraham David Horwitz [originally Dometz of Grosvardin and now] the Rabbi of Augsburg-Landsberg (later rabbi and Av Beit Din of Strasbourg and then a dayan in the Eida Charedit in Jerusalem, his sons and sons-in-law are gedolim of this generation).

On the back of the title page is a facsimile of a letter from the Gra”d “Korban Toda…Hashem showed his great chesed in keeping me alive…I said in the merit I would produce this siddur…”. A unique variant with an introduction in English from the Joint Committee which we did not see in the other copies of this siddur, with a dedication in the memory of the 6 million murdered Jews, hy”d, and in memory of the American soldiers killed while defeating Germany.

Stamps of the “Bad-Reichnel Religious Committee”, which served as a Refugee Camp in southern Germany, and signature of “Nachum Halperin”. [1], 168, 43 leaves.

Tears and tape on a number of pages, some with damage to the text. Stains and light defects, otherwise good condition.
