5 lira bill (1968) received from the hands of the Sidna Baba Sali, for blessings, success, and preservation.

The custom of giving coins for preservation was common among Admorim and kabbalists, and there are many amazing stories of miraculous rescues connected to such coins. This bill originates from the state of a Chassidic Jew from Bnei Brak. The bill is being sold by his relatives, and is accompanied by a certificate from the seller—the nephew of the departed.

The Admor Rabbi Yisrael Abuhatzira, the Baba Sali (1889-1984) was the son of Rabbi Masoud, rabbi of Tafilalt (Morocco), son of the Admor Rabbi Yaakov Abuhatzira. He was a gaon in nigla and nistar, holy and pure from his youth. He served as Chief Rabbi of Erfoud and its environs. In 1964 he immigrated to Israel and settled in Netivot. His home quickly became a visiting site for rabbis, Admorim, and anyone asking for salvation or help. He left an amazing legacy behind, including sons and grandsons, Admorim of the decorated Abuhatzira family.
