The jacket title page has a handwritten dedication and signature from the author: “honored friend, supporter of the indigent and respected as a treasure of pure yirah hashem Moharar Naftali Ish Felker 0 signed D. C. Sivan 1913 – from his friend Yitzhak Danzig.” His stamp also appears on the jacket and an additional signature on the title page.

A number of notes with learned content also appear in the work. One of them states “in the Talmud there is no sentence of this kind!”. The notes are signed “the Meir said”, and “Abiri”m.”

Rabbi Yitzhak Danzig (1837-1917) was a student of the Volozhin yeshiva and a rabbi in a number of communities before becoming rabbi of the large city of Petersburg. In 1912 he moved to Israel and settled in Jerusalem, where he served as maggid meisharim in the Zikaron Moshe synagogue and the Meah Shearim Beit Midrash and yeshiva. His droshim were gathered in many books.
