Lot 133:
Pair of cast bronze candlesticks with three cornets each. For Shabbat candles. Jewish artwork with the casting of pairs of lions of Judah. The candlesticks can be unscrewed into three pieces plus the cornets themselves can be unscrewed.
Work of this style was done by Jews (or upon their request) in Europe in the first half of the 20th century. The Israel Museum have two different sets of candlesticks that are similar to this example and which they claim were made in Poland in the 18th or 19th century.
Height: 35cm. Max width: 20cm. Overall very good condition.
