Start price: $100

Buyer's premium:

Shut from Rabbi Moshe Mintz, known as the Maharam Mintz. 104 leaves. Binding detached, no spine, tears and stains at the edges, text in overall good condition.

The blank first leaf and the back of the binding have notes of ownership: “Simcha HaLevi”—see below. “Binyamin Bamberger”, “Moshe Aryeh HaLevi”, “the holy Shlomo HaLevi”.

Rabbi Simcha (Simon) Bamberger of Aschaffenburg was the son of Rabbi Yitzhak Dov Bamberger of Wurzburg, and father of Rabbi Yitzhak Zekel Bamberger, the district rabbi of Bad Kissingen, Bavaria. The additional signature “Moshe Aryeh HaLevi” is probably the father-in-law of the aforementioned son (Rabbi Yaakov Ettlinger, author of the Aruch Laner).
