Sefer Yesod v’Shoresh HaAvodah, “of prayer, Torah, and mitzvot”, an important work accepted across the Jewish people over the generations, by Rabbi Alexander Ziskind of Horodna. 123, 123-154, [2] leaves.

From leaf 114-135 there are corrections of errors in Rashi’s commentary on Nach and an exegesis on the borders of the division of the land from the Book of Joshua and the future borders and building of the Temple by Solomon in Kings, and the future building in Yehezkel. Leaf 118 has a map of the borders of Israel from the Book of Joshua, and on the back is an additional map: “Illustration of the borders in Parshat Mas’ei.”

Leather spine, stains, tape on the last leaf, a number of last leaves have tears in the margins. Overall good condition. Title page has notes of ownership: “Pinchas Lipshitz.” Stamps: “Meir Adler.”
