Aspaklariya HaMeira, a commentary on the Zohar by Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Horwitz. Pretty title page with depictions of Moses and Aaron. 124 leaves. The author Rabbi Zvi Hirsch HaLevi Horwitz (died 1689) was rabbi of three districts in the Zamosc region of Lithuania: Kidan, Vizon, and Birz. He wrote “Gaon Zvi” on the Talmud (Prague, 1737). The manuscript for that book was held by Rabbi Dov Beer HaLevi of Kaminitz, who organized it for printing, but he died before he could print it. His daughter asked “with triplicate tears” for her husband, Rabbi Mordechai Modil Segel of Schwabach, to agree to print it, and he agreed to, and he gave the work its title.
