Buyer's premium:

Lot of various documents from the “Chevra Kadisha of Paris”, and the local Jewish community. Between 1889-1932. Contains official reports, receipts, accounting reports, and a bunch of other paper documents, mostly in French and a minority in Hebrew. Some of the documents have the Hebrew logo: Adat Yere’im Chevra Kadish d’Shas.”

It seems that the Chevra Kadisha was also responsible for the community’s other religious needs, which can be seen from documents of the “Chevra L’Talmud Torah”, a Hebrew receipt from 1979 from the Chevra, a receipt for an archive for the religious texts in their 7th edition, a donation for the purchase of a sefer torah, a receipt or invitation from the “Beit Mocher Sefarim” for the Seder Amram HaShalem, etc. Some are stamped officially by the Chevra Kadisha. Many have original postage stamps.

More than 100 leaves with much content, shedding light on an important Orthodox Jewish community of the last century. Overall good condition.
