Buyer's premium:

Machzor, second section for the Regalim, printed by the grandson of the SlavitaRav. 148 leaves. 21cm. Moth damage and tears have been repaired, some have damage to text—mainly in the margins of the leaves. New, inscribed binding. Stains, wear.

Siddurs from Zhitomir printings are particularly rare and sought after, especially in the nusach Sfard which are less common. The virtue of the books of printers from Slavita and Zhitomir has been known among the Tzaddiks and Hasidim for many generations. The same year in which this machzor was printed, an additional machzor was produced with a slightly larger format by the other grandsons of the Slavita Rav, Rabbi Chanina Lipa and Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel, this printer’s brothers, after they had split from him around the same time.
