Auction 50
Lot 007:
1. Large oval platter—in the center is a wonderfully handmade engraving of ancient Jerusalem, with the following sites: the Kotel, the Hurva synagogue, David’s Citadel, the Yemin Moshe Flour Mill, and more buildings, as well as the mountains surrounding it, the sun rising among them. Around it is an engraving of the 12 Tribes (in which Ephraim and Menashe seemingly appear separately while Shimon and Levi are together?). On the sides are handles for carrying it. 1265g.
2. Large milk pitcher with an attached cover and handle—927g.
3. Small pitcher for tea extract—324g
4. Dish for sugar with a detachable cover and handles—429g
5. Additional dish for sugar cubes—216g.
All with matching engraved decorations. At the bottom of each item is stamped “Sterling 925.” Additional stamps documenting that the work was made in Mexico. Overall very good condition.
