Lot 149:
A typewritten letter on official letterhead, from the 15th of Adar I, 1954. Very interesting material, not printed in Igros Kodesh for obvious reasons.
In it, the Rebbe details problems with the social structure and politics of Kfar Chabad: “…the situation is very bad, particularly in the relationship between the teachers and administrators and between members of the administration, between man and his fellow, and it saddens me greatly, and even though there are disagreements, which is great (exclamation point added from the Rebbe), it is evident that … [many abbreviations] that he would cease his work there is nonsensical…there is more than enough work, and how long must I write letters of mussar and awakening on each and every issue? And for a long time now the time has come for good news of the success of things, and not that every bit of news should be mixed up in the matter of disagreements, and the length of it is painful … which is despicably to the point of false plots … Those who are a little far away make a controversy inside the community, and those who are even further away let the disagreements get outside…which is called in today’s parlance politics.
May Hashem grant that in Adar we marbin b’simcha, may happiness break all boundaries. I await besorot tovot on the general and specific matters.” Handwritten signature from the Rebbe.
Many orrections, with emphases and punctuation handwritten as well by the Rebbe.
Creases, small holes at the bottom and in the margins (no damage to text). Overall good condition.
