Letter from the Rebbe with a promise to remember something noted and an instruction to check tefillin and mezuzot, signed by the secretary. Tevet 1959.

Typewritten letter on official letterhead, from 24th Tevet 1959, in which the Rebbe notifies that the recipient’s letter had been received “and he will be reminded of the note”. Later he notes that the recipient must add to his Torah and mitzvot “which will add brachot of Hashem to those who need. And it is proper to check his tefillin and mezuzot in his apartment…with blessings for besorot tovot in everything.”


The letter was signed by the secretary Rabbi Eliyahu Quint “in the name of the Admor shlita”, but as is known many letters seemingly signed by the secretaries were indeed signed by the Rebbe himself in their names.

Paper in envelope, creases, light stains, overall good condition.
