Pamphlet Shiurei Torah, with a tshuva and criticism in response to the criticism levelled by Rabbi Kalman Kahane in his maamar “Shiurei d’Rabbanan” in Adar 1944. Printed by Pinchas Even Jerusalem.
Background: In 1943 the monumental work “Shiurei Torah” was published by the Chabad gaon Rabbi Avraham Chaim Na’eh. In the book, the rabbi offered an expanded exegesis on the sizes of the kezayis, etc. which were in practice in Jerusalem since antiquity. Immediately upon its release the book awakened a severe controversy, mainly from the Steipler, who published the book Shiurin shel Torah, in which he gave an exegesis on the shita of the Chazon Ish.
This pamphlet was printed by Rabbi Avraham Chaim Na’eh as a response to the maamar from Rabbi Kalman Kahane, a student of the Chazon Ish. The pamphlet does not appear in the National Library and is not in the catalogue of the Mifal Bibliographia.
