And Metzaref HaAvodah—a debate between a chassid and a misnagid with a letter at the end from the Admor HaZaken, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liady. Konigsberg 1858.

64, 38, [2] leaves. The book are bound together with Sefer “HaMevakesh” by Rabbi Shem Tov ben Polkira, Konigsberg 1858.

The blank first page has a signature and stamp of Rabbi Reafel Yaakov Doverzinsky of Lublin/Jerusalem, the son-in-law of Rabbi Nachman Krostzke, and a relative of Rabbi Avraham Landau of Chechnov. He was a student of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kotzk and was present at his death, and at the end of his life he moved to Jerusalem and is considered one of its most important rabbis. His signature can be found on a number of posters in Jerusalem from that period.
