The Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Kahane (perished 1944) was the first Admor of Spinka, grandson of Rabbi Meir Weiss (the author of the Imrei Yosef). Prior to his father’s death he had already begun to receive kvitlach, and after his father’s death he took over the Spinka chassidus, whom he led for more than 40 years, until he was murdered during the Shoah.

His son and successor, Rabbi Nachman Kahane of Spinka (1905-1977) was the son-in-law of his uncle, Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael v’Yeshurun Rubin, the Admor of Solitzia. He served as the rabbi of Karlsburg. After surviving the Shoah he served as dayan in Klausenberg and worked to free agunot. He moved to Israel, where he was the rabbi of Bnei Ram, and then moved to Bnei Brak, opened a beit midrash, and served as the Admor of Spinka.
