Roshei Besamim, chiddushei Tanach, Aggadot of Shas, Midrash and Zohar, by Rabbi Yeshaya Mushkat, Av Beit Din of Prague. Brought to the publisher by the author’s grandson. With approbations from Rabbi Yaakov David Kalish of Amnishov, Rabbi Elimelech Shapira of Grodzisk, and more.
Signature of ownership on the title page: “Menachem Mendel Litmanovitz, Radomask”. 117 leaves. No binding, small tear on the title page with no damage to text, good condition.
Rabbi Yeshaya Mushkat (1783-1868) was the author of Sefer Atzei Besamim and Harei Besamim. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yitzhak of Radovil and a student of the Maggid of Kozhnitz and his son Rabbi Moshe Elyakim Briyah. After his father-in-law’s death he started to serve as Admor. He was one of the greatest Chassidic leaders in Poland and led together wit the Chiddushei HaRim of Gur and Rabbi Chaim Davidson (rabbi of Warsaw).
