Letter handwritten and signed by the gaon Rabbi Yitzhak Scheiner, a head of the Kaminitz yeshiva, addressed to the gaon Rabbi Yehiel Yaakov Weinberg, author of the Shut Sridei Esh. From Tuesday of the week of Parshat Bo, 1956.

He thanks him for his recommendations and plesses him: “May Hashem quickly send him a refuah shlemah among the sick of the Jewish people, may he have many years to spread the fountains of his Torah and his wisdom in the world. I was also very happy to hear that he is thinking with God’s help to return soon and I look forward to seeing him face to face and enjoying divrei torah…”. Then he transitions to talking about other matters related to the yeshiva and the health of his father-in-law, the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Moshe Bernstein.

He ends with a kushiya raised by one of the students in the yeshiva regarding the laws of the Bayit HaMenuga which involves a contradiction in the laws of a defective knife.

This is an exciting letter testifying to the strong love of Torah and the strong connection between two gedolim.
