“Ketiva v’Chatima Tova in the book of Tzaddikim Gemurim”, a postcard handwritten and signed by the kabbalist Rabbi Yehuda Zerachya Segal, addressed to Rabbi Mordechai Mizrahi of Tel Aviv. Rabbi Segal blesses Rabbi Mizrahi with a “Ketiva v’Chatima Tova for his Torah and that of his father-in-law and his great family, in the book of Tzaddikim Gemurim for life may they be written”.

Kabbalist Rabbi Yehuda Zerachya Segal (1924-2001) studied in the Lomza yeshiva as a young man and was close to the Chazon Ish, who nicknamed him “a lion among lions”. In 1953 (when he was 29) he was appointed rabbi of the Kiryat Shalom neighborhood of Tel Aviv, and he worked to strengthen the fortress of religious and to do kiruv. He was known as a great kabbalist and miracle worker, and many came to him for blessings.
