Buyer's premium:

“HaHitpa’alut” pamphlet, Chabad chassidut, by the Admor Rabbi Dov Beer ben HaAdmor HaTanya, called the Admor HaEmtza’I or the Mittler Rebbe. Separate title page for the “Small Pamphlet on Inyanei Bechira”.

Printed almost entirely line-for-line with a different pagination, based on the Koenigsberg edition (approx. 1850), without the printer’s words or the Moda’ah. The error table was also removed and the errors were corrected in this edition. The copier’s words and the list of abbreviations were transferred to the beginning of the “small pamphlet”. 80 pages.

Binding matches the period, partially detached, overall good condition.

The title page and back and end have stamps: “Pinchas Berezave of Makovi”, “Yaakov ben Zion HaKohen Mendelsohn, rabbi of the Newark Kollel.”

Rabbi Yaakov ben Zion HaKohen Mendelsohn (1876-1941) was a British-American rabbi who served as rabbi of British cities such as Leeds, Gateshead, Glasgow, and later Newark, where he moved for the British army. He was a leader of the Agudas HaRabbanim and an author of books such as Sha’arei Zion, Midrash Yaavetz, Mishnat Yaavetz, and more.
