Letter in the gorgeous handwriting of the Admor Rabbi Ben Zion Aryeh Leibush Halberstam of Babov, shlita. From 39th of the Omer, 1982, Brooklyn. From when he was only 27 years old, during his father’s reign as Admor (Rabbi Shlomo).
Addressed to the “author Mr. Meir Wander”, editor of the Encyclopedia of Galician Sages.”
He thanks the author for the second section of his book, which he had received, and includes a check for payment. He asks that he produce for him the pamphlet “Tochechat Mussar” by the Baal Hafla’ah (a drasha against the translation of the Torah by Mendelsohn) whenever possible, and assures him that he will pay for all necessary expenses. “With thanks in advance”, with his handwritten signature: “the holy Ben Zion Aryeh Leibush Halberstam, son of the Admor [Aamor—Adoneinu Avi Mori v’Rabbeinu] of Babov.”
