Long letter, three large folio pages, written by hand by Rabbi Meir Halberstam, the Admor of Tchokowa, to Rabbi Meir Wunder. In the letter, the Rebbe goes into detail in response to Rabbi Wunder’s question about his family’s history, which he wants to insert into his work, “Meorei Galicia”.
27-30x21cm, filing holes, staple marks, good condition.
Rabbi Meir Halberstam of Tchokowa (1927-2012) was the son of Rabbi Yaakov Halberstam, Av Beit Din of Tchokowa, and son-in-law of Rabbi Aharon Yosef Luria (author of the Avodas Pnim). He was known as a great talmid chacham, wonderful storyteller, and he was responsible for passing along the mesorah of the Sanz dynasty.
