Admor Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Kopeschnitz (1888-1967) was an important Admor of the United States. He descended from the Admorim of Aphtha and was the son of the Admor Rabbi Yitzhak Meir Heschel of Kopeschnitz and his successor from 1936. In 1939 he fled Vienna for New York and established his beit midrash there. He is buried in Tiberias next to his uncle’s grave (Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Husiatyn).
