Set of the work Kaf HaChaim by Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Sofer, on the Shulchan Aruch Orech Chaim and Yoreh De’ah, which has been spread widely around the Jewish people and is quoted greatly in works by poskim. Edition printed in Jerusalem, no year of printing noted. Some of the volumes have a picture of the author after the title page. 11 volumes in good condition.
In the volume Yoreh De’ah, part 2, there is a stamp on the blank first leaf: “Library of the Gaon Tzaddik Rabbeinu Meir Abuhatzira Ashdod.” There is also a dedication from the author’s grandson, who is named after him: “Given with love to the holy Ish Elokim, the gaon tzaddik Moharar Meir Abuhatzira shlita, from the Ram Yaakov Chaim Sofer, grandson, Jerusalem Tevet 1978.”.
The Baba Meir was the eldest son of the Baba Sali, served in the Moroccan Rabbinate, most of his days he dealt with avodat hashem, in 1965 he moved to Israel, and talmidei hacham came to his home in Ashdod, rabbis and heads of yeshiva cam to receive advice. His sons are famous Admors of the Abuhatzira family. Elazar, hy”d, and David Chai, of Nahariya, Rabbi Refael, Rabbi Yekutiel of Ashdod.
