Rabbi Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg (1910-2012) was the rosh yeshiva Tora Ohr and a member of the Council of Torah Sages. From his youth he was known already for his brilliance, and there is a story that when he was 16 and a half, he finished learning the whole Shas. He would walk around with tefillin all day. He worked a lot on divrei torah related to the Ketzot HaChoshen, and wrote books on all of the latter’s works, such as the Ketzot HaChoshen, Avnei Miluim, and Shav Shamata. In his last years he became known as the “Zaken Roshei HaYeshivot”. He died on the 27th of Adar 2012, and is buried on the Mt. of Olives.
