Rabbi Shaul Brach (1865-1940) was a great Hungarian posek and Av Beit Din in Mogendorf, Kroly, and Kosoy. He was known as a combative fighter on the Torah’s behalf, he was one of the strongest opponents of Zionism and said “anyone who believes in Torat Moshe will distance himself from the tents of the Zionists and Mizrahim and avoid eating and drinking by them as they do for non-Jews and it is necessary to separate them from the Jewish community.” He was close to Admorim of Sighet and Babov. He wrote many books including the Givat Shaul, Shaul Bachir Hashem, and more.
