The title page has the signature and stamp of the kabbalist Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Leib Auerbach, rosh yeshivat Shaarei HaShamayim and the signature of his son, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach. Additional Mizrahi signature of “Chaim Avraham Zvi Sefardi, Jerusalem.” Pages detached, wear in the margins, fair to good condition.

Rabbi Haim Yehuda Leib Auerbach (1887-1954) was the father of the Gaon Posek Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, and the 7th generation from the Admor Rabbi Yakkov Yosef of Polna, a student of the Baal Shem Tov. He was certified for the rabbinate by Rabbi Haim Berlin at age 18, and in 1906 he founded the Shaar Shamayim kabbalistic yeshiva, even though he was less than 20 years old when it was established.

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach (1910-1995) was the son of Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Leib Auerbach, the posek hador for many years. He was among the first to devote all his energies to clarifying the halakhah in the questions that exist today, his first book "Meori HaEsh" for clarifying the permissible and forbidden regarding electricity on Shabbat was published in 1935,

his student Rabbi Yeshayahu Neuwirth published the basic book "Shmirat Shabbat KeHilchata" based entirely on his rulings, with whom he consulted every step of the way. He was humble and accepted by those of all walks of life. Hundreds of thousands came on the 20th of Adar 5755 to his funeral, which took place in Jerusalem and was the largest funeral since the establishment of the state.
