Buyer's premium:

Rare and unique manuscript: “Sefer Chochmat Yad; to know what will happen to every man throughout his life via the sketches and lines of his hand, from the kabbalah and research”. Half-quill writing in the Italian style, matches the first half of the 19th century.

Content is a copy of the book Chochmat Yad by Rabbi Moshe ben Eliyahu Galino, first printed in Constantinople 1515 with various changes in style and language. The back of the title page has a nice illustration of a hand divided with explanations of the content (a similar illustration was printed in the Chochmat HaYad of Russia-Poland, 1800 approximately). In the original the book had 10 chapters. This manuscript does not have chapters 8-9 and is missing the segulah in the first copy of the book.

22 written pages, stains from mold and mushrooms, tears, a few moth holes and damage from wear professionally repaired and filled in by hand. Pages detached, no binding.
