Admor Rabbi Aharon Friedman of Boyan-Chernowitz (1890-1942) was the son of the Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum. He was son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Haim of Itinya, son of the Admor the Imrei Baruch of Vizhnitz and brother of the Ahavas Yisrael of Vizhnitz. He was incredibly close to his father, and after his father’s death refused to succeed him despite the pleas of important chassids, but he agreed to serve as head of the Volyn Kollel for the sake of not depriving its inhabitants.

In 1938 he finally agreed to succeed his father. A bit of his divrei torah were included in the book Toldos Aharon. He died from typhus during the conditions of the Shoah in the city of Obodovka.
