Signature of Rabbi Asher Shmuel Panet on the book Derech Mitzvotecha by Rabbi Yehuda Rosanis—Lemberg 1858. Additional signature and many notes (some cut off) on the book Mira Dechiya by Rabbi Yechiel Michal HaLevi. Lemberg 1873.
At the end of Mira Dechiya is a printed advertisement for the book selling company of Rabbi Yaakov Ehrenpreis, printer and seller in Lviv.
The book are bound together. [1], 21 leaves, [88] pages. Light tears without missing bits on the title page of Derech Mitzvotecha, stains, otherwise good condition.
Rabbi Asher Shmuel Panet was Av Beit Din of Hidalmash, grandson of the Admor Rabbi Yehezkel Panet (the Mareh Yehezkel) and was known as a gaon who worked ceaselessly to free agunot. The Divrei Haim of Zans said of him: “Ashrei his portion, as if one only needs to be the grandson of Rabbi Yehezkel.” His divrei Torah were collected in the book Dvarot Esh, printed in the book Yam Rahav by his father Rabbi Haim Betzalel, the Av Beit Din of Tchond.
